Wyatt A Bain
My name is Wyatt A Bain, I am currently in my third year of the business administration accounting program at St. Lawrence College. I am very hard-working person who excels in working with technology and with other people. Some of my skills include things like being very detail oriented, being a great problem solver and being extremely creative. I am also very adaptable and eager to get things done. I also hold a very high moral standard for myself and expect others around me to do so as well. I come from a very business orientated family that has owned many businesses in the past. I have been working in my family business for many years now doing many different things from accounting work to participating in meetings and organizing events. What I hope to get out of this placement opportunity is to get a different perspective on the way other organizations do business and how different corporate cultures affect how companies operate. My future goals are to own my own business and become an entrepreneur. I am very much looking forward to this placement opportunity and would be very grateful to anyone who would consider bringing me on.
I am a third-year student in the Business Administration – Accounting Program at St. Lawrence College. I enjoy the concept of Financial Management, and have often advised friends and family that have sought my expertise with their personal budgets. I have taken an increased interest in Taxation lately, and figuring out ways to legally attain the best outcome on a return. In the past, I have been both a peer tutor and a member of the varsity Soccer team, enhancing my teamwork and interpersonal skills. My goal is to work for a reputable accounting firm, and I believe that my existing transferrable skills would be a welcome addition to any office environment.
My name is Victoria Buckingham, and I am a third-year student in the Business Administration – Accounting Diploma program at St. Lawrence College. My passion, dedication, intellect, and professional skills and abilities have led to my success within both the program and the St Lawrence community.
Within the Accounting program my academic success has enabled me to peer tutor other students, exercising my communication, problem solving, and interpersonal skills while being able to foster understanding and learning.
Within the St Lawrence community, I have worked with Toastmasters International to develop my public speaking skills and leadership abilities. I have also had the opportunity to work with the Enactus St. Lawrence College team and their Financial Literacy and Youth Empowerment programs in volunteer, organizational, and support positions. My work with Enactus SLC has enhanced my organization, time management, communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
After graduation, I am interested in pursuing the CPA designation in Public Accounting.
I have been working in the restaurant industry throughout the duration of my studies. During this time, I have been praised for my ability to multi-task, functioning as both a line cook and kitchen supervisor simultaneously. I believe the experience I’ve gained from the restaurant industry such as completing inventory counts, filing the data, placing and receiving order shipments, all while serving as an easily approachable and motivational leader has become paramount to my development as well as to my abilities. I am excited to witness these skills be transferred into the accounting profession where I’ll be able to continuously develop and contribute to the projects and firm I represent.
I am a business administration student who focuses on Accounting. I consider myself to be a positive person who enjoys learning new things. I am organized, passionate, and consider myself to have great communication skills. I find my greatest skill is my ability to speak and write English, Arabic, and Farsi fluently. Knowing these languages helped me to reach many communities and connecting with more people. I spend my free time volunteering in Kingston immigration center. I help immigrants with many tasks, and I volunteered for two consecutive years and assisted with preparing tax returns of the clients. I am an excellent team player as well as self-confident independent worker. I am an optimistic, creative, and also a realistic person who can solve any problem that comes into the way through critical thinking. I am looking forward to using my accounting skills and work with a reputed firm.
My name is Laura Dessureault. I am a highly motivated Business Administration - Accounting student, who is eager to learn the basic knowledge that it takes to enter the workforce. I am outgoing and always bring a positive attitude to every opportunity and challenge that comes my way. I make team and individual work more enjoyable with the easygoing attitude I have. The work environment I excel in is an open and friendly one where I can take initiative but am still able to ask questions. This will enable me to learn and grow my skills that will make me an asset to your accounting team.
I am a mature student, currently in my third year of the Business Administration – Accounting Program at St. Lawrence College. In addition to being a fulltime student, I also work part time at the local Walmart and overtime as a father. Colleagues refer to me as an independent, natural leader; a front-runner who values honesty, integrity, and attention to detail. My current employment lays the foundation for my accounting career with tasks such as calculating on-hand inventory adjustments and projecting weekly sales forecasts. I have always enjoyed working with numbers and look forward to bringing my personal best to all accounting and finance related organizations.
My name is Jeremy Gilmour and I am in my third year of Accounting at St. Lawrence College. I am a hardworking, passionate, respectful, and punctual individual who brings a positive attitude to every opportunity and challenge that comes my way. Through my work and college experiences, I have further developed my problem solving, organization, communication, and time management skills. I thrive best in an open and friendly environment where I am able to ask questions and receive criticism and feedback. I am an ambitious and driven student in St. Lawrence College’s Business Administration – Accounting, Advanced Diploma program. After I complete my Advanced Diploma I plan to continue to pursue an undergraduate’s degree in Business Administration with the intention of pursuing further education through graduate studies. I believe this demonstrates my desire to succeed and willingness to do to work required to make it happen.
I also have a range of work experience such as, handling clients, working as part of a team, and using problem-solving skills in high-stress, confidential, work environments.

My name is Riley Hewitt and I am in my 3rd year of the Business Administration – Accounting program at St. Lawrence College. My professional experience includes nine months in my current role as the Program Coordinator for the Provincially Funded Summer Company Program funded by the Ministry of Economic Development and Growth. In addition to this I have over a years’ experience as an Administration and Operations Intern. In these roles I have proven to be a proactive, enthusiastic self-starter with consultation, networking, teamwork and problem solving skills. I have experience planning and coordinating events, meetings and training seminars. I cope well in high stress situations and am able to manage many tasks simultaneously. I process, file and report confidential information, and maintain privacy protection protocols at all times. I am extremely organized, efficient, and detail oriented.
Furthermore, I also have four years of experience as a Customer Service Representative working with a diverse clientele. I possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and public speaking ability gained through my administrative and customer service experience. I have been recognized by my superiors for being a self-starter who takes pride in her work and is highly adaptable to change.
I consider myself to be an energetic and positive person who is always looking for a challenge. I learn by doing and adapt quickly to various environments. With over four years’ experience in customer service positions, I have grown my ability to connect with customers, clients, co-workers, and supervisors. I am also very organized with exceptional time management skills that enable completion of assigned tasks in an efficient manner. After completing the Business Administration-Accounting diploma, I will move on to the Bachelor of Business Administration degree program and work towards a CPA designation. I am always looking to adapt and grow in all areas, and will continue to persevere to complete my goals.
As a young, and hardworking student, I am hoping to expand my resume and accounting skills through this placement. My name is Andrew Joubert and I am in my third year of accounting at St. Lawrence College. I have also obtained my diploma in the Hospitality and Tourism Management course at St. Lawrence College a few years prior. Through that course I grew a passion for working with numbers and decided that accounting was what I wanted to pursue. I have gained many years of experience within the customer service industry and in a management role. I have gained experience in working with teams, have excessive technology skills, and a good communicator. I am a quick learner, very organized, portray great time management skills, a problem solver, and I am always looking to learn more. My name is Melissa Kot and I am currently in my 3rd year of Business Administration – Accounting program at St. Lawrence College. I am an energetic, motivated and reliable individual who is driven and strives for excellence. I try to apply myself 100% in any aspect of my life. I am a self-driven, passionate, independent, organized student with excellent interpersonal skills. I am currently a Business Administration Accounting diploma candidate at St. Lawrence College. I have over 6 years working experience as Office Manager where I managed the books for a family owned and operated dental office. I am looking forward to expanding my knowledge and skills in the accounting field, with my long term goal set on completing my CPA. My name is Tanner Mitchell. I’m currently enrolled in my third year at St. Lawrence College in the Business Administration – Accounting Program.
I am a driven, hard working individual who thrives on success. My past allowed me to grow through the ranks at different companies I have been apart of. I take pride in this as it shows that the hard work I put into my job each and every day is valued. Communication is a key skill I possess, which has grown from playing sports throughout my life, work, and friend groups I associate with. Many would describe me as a positive and friendly individual who is usually seen with a smile on his face. Team oriented, professional, and problem solver are three skills I take pride in possessing.

My name is Jennifer Neary, and I’m a third-year student in the Business Administration – Accounting Advanced Diploma program at St. Lawrence College.
I consider myself to be a very driven and hardworking individual who strives for success. I have a strong work ethic accompanied by both time management and organization skills, which have enabled me to maintain a 3.99 GPA. My skills, along with my motivation and intellect, have led to my academic success and personal growth.
Within the St. Lawrence community, I mentored incoming first-year School of Business students to help ease their transition into the college environment. My work as a mentor enhanced my communication and interpersonal skills, as well as my emotional intelligence. I found this opportunity to be incredibly rewarding as I was able to motivate and encourage others to be their best selves.
Outside of school, I have gained 4 years of experience working in the customer service industry in various roles. I have worked as a hospitality trainer, trainer, stand lead, and team member. These experiences have allowed me to thrive in team settings, demonstrate strong leadership skills, adapt to new situations, and work in fast-paced environments.
Upon graduation, I am interested in pursuing the Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree program offered at St. Lawrence College as well as the CPA designation. I’m excited to see what the future holds.
My name is Andrew Reid and I am interested in working in the accounting field. I hold a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) degree and a Bachelor of Education, both from Queen’s University. I am currently enrolled in the CPA PREP program. I have been working in the field of education since 2009. I have experience working with a number of different programs, with a focus on Microsoft Office. I am looking to gain experience working an accountant.
I am a third year Business Administration-Accounting student at St. Lawrence College in Kingston. Currently, I am employed as a part time bookkeeper with a small business. I retired in 2016, after a 27 year career with TD Canada Trust. I enjoy working with others, leveraging technology and problem solving. The new skills that I have acquired through St. Lawrence blend well with my banking experience. My goal is obtain full time employment as an accountant or bookkeeper.
